Artificial Intelligence Policy

The journal permits the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including generative AI, in the publication process. AI may be used as a supporting tool but cannot replace human judgment, authorship, or responsibility.

Authors

Authors may use AI for language editing, translation, improving readability, formatting, or other limited supportive purposes.

Authors must:

  • Verify all AI-assisted content, facts, references, and information.

  • Take full responsibility for the accuracy and originality of the manuscript.

  • Disclose the use of AI when it has substantially contributed to the manuscript.

  • Not use AI to fabricate data, results, references, images, or other research evidence.

  • Not submit AI-generated content as entirely their own intellectual work.

  • Not upload confidential, personal, unpublished, or sensitive research data to unsecured AI platforms.

  • Not list AI tools as authors or co-authors.

Editors

Editors may use AI for limited administrative or language-support tasks, but editorial decisions must remain under human control.

Editors must:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and editorial information.

  • Not upload confidential manuscripts or editorial materials to unauthorized AI platforms.

  • Independently verify information generated or suggested by AI.

  • Not rely solely on AI for decisions regarding acceptance, rejection, research misconduct, or ethical issues.

  • Ensure that authors' use of AI is assessed fairly and transparently.

Reviewers

Reviewers may use AI only for limited assistance, such as improving the language or clarity of their own review, when permitted by the journal.

Reviewers must:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of manuscripts and review materials.

  • Not upload manuscripts, unpublished data, or confidential materials to public or unauthorized AI platforms.

  • Not delegate the substantive evaluation of a manuscript to AI.

  • Make their own assessment and recommendation based on scholarly judgment.

  • Verify any information or suggestions obtained through AI before including them in a review.

General Principes

AI-generated content must always be subject to human review and verification. The use of AI must not compromise academic integrity, confidentiality, originality, research ethics, or publication ethics.

The journal may request authors, editors, or reviewers to disclose their use of AI when necessary.
